We’re currently seeking a hands-on Territory Operations Manager to take charge of our South-East Queensland region, overseeing our Brisbane and Sunshine Coast branches. Based in Brisbane, this role will drive operational performance, support future growth, and lead diverse teams across both sites.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong branch leadership experience looking to step up into a broader territory-level role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across Brisbane and Sunshine Coast branches.
- Lead, develop, and mentor your teams, including operations coordinators and admin.
- Manage fleet availability, resource allocation, and branch activities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Take full P&L ownership for the territory, driving cost control and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Head Office to align local execution with national strategy.
- Conduct performance reviews, support recruitment and training, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Promote and uphold safety, compliance, and operational standards at all sites.
What You'll Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in branch or multi-site operational leadership, ideally in equipment hire, construction, or logistics.
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams and site operations across multiple locations.
- Strong financial acumen and hands-on experience managing P&L and budgets.
- Strong mechanical aptitude or experience with heavy equipment preferred.
- A leadership style that’s proactive, practical, and people focused.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across SEQ and work on-site as required — no remote work arrangements.

Operations Manager
Operations Manager - SSC Branch

Sherrin Rentals is seeking a proactive, experienced Operations Manager to take the lead in our Coolum Beach branch. You’ll manage a small, dynamic team of less than 10 people, including drivers, mechanics, technicians, and admin staff. Collaborating with our Key Account Manager and reporting to Head Office in Brisbane, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and ensure top-notch service delivery in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the primary client contact, building relationships and ensuring rental needs are met.
- Manage equipment bookings, hire agreements, and fleet allocation for maximum utilisation.
- Lead and manage a team of field service mechanics, drivers, and operators, ensuring smooth branch operations.
- Coordinate transport contractors and maintenance suppliers, ensuring timely service and equipment availability.
- Enforce WH&S policies, maintain safe procedures, and ensure equipment meets industry standards.
- Handle administrative tasks including invoicing, purchase orders, and record-keeping.
- Report daily activities, fleet availability, and service issues while meeting performance targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in operations management within a rental, logistics, or service sectors.
- Strong leadership with a focus on team development and efficiency.
- Skilled in fleet management, customer service, and equipment coordination.
- Excellent communication and remote team collaboration.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Job responsibilities:
- Clean and detail of equipment both inside and out.
- Perform high-pressure washing of vehicles.

- Carry out paint repairs on equipment.
- Keep the yard area clean and organised.
- Assist with general duties in workshop.

Truck Driver (HC Float Truck)
FLOAT DRIVER – HEAVY EQUIPMENT TRANSPORT

We need an experienced Float Driver to safely transport heavy equipment using low loaders and floats. You’ll be on the road, delivering and picking up gear, but also helping out in the yard when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment
- Keep your truck and gear clean and well-maintained
- Give customers top-notch service when dropping off or picking up equipment
- Follow strict safety rules—no shortcuts here
- Help around the yard (washing/cleaning units) when needed
Requirements:
- HC Truck Licence (Heavy Combination) - Required
- Load Restraint course - Preferred
- Experience with low loaders/floats and heavy equipment transport
- Background in road construction – a bonus
- Willingness to do overtime and extra shifts when needed
- Good customer service skills and presentation
